At the Louisiana Center for Children's Rights, we go to the mat for our kids every day -- in the courtroom, in the classroom, and in the community. But sometimes what stands between our kids and success are barriers seemingly small, but insurmountable to a family that's struggling.
Andre needs a state ID card to enroll in a job training program. Terrence needs new clothes after his release from prison, where he had been incarcerated since he was a child. Angela and her family need a hotel stay as temporary shelter after having sustained flooding during Hurricane Ida.
No child should sink deeper into the justice system because they cannot afford the small costs that matter so much to their success. That's why we created our Small Favors Fund, a reserve we use throughout the year to help children and juvenile lifers cover the small costs that stand between them and opportunities to thrive.
We need your help! Small Favors is starting to get low on funds. This holiday season, we're rallying to raise it back up so that it'll be there when needed for our kids in 2022.
